SetuBi Pvt Ltd ("we", "our", "us") operates the SetuBi website at setubi.in and the web application at app.setubi.in (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you give us
- Enquiry / Contact form — your name, email address, organisation name (optional), and the message you submit.
- Account registration — your name, email address, and a hashed password when you create an account on app.setubi.in.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent, clicks, and browser/device type via Google Analytics. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
- Cookies — essential cookies to keep you signed in and preference cookies to remember your settings. See Section 6 for details.
- Log data — server logs may include your IP address, browser user-agent, and request timestamps for security and diagnostics.
1.3 Your Tally Prime business data
SetuBi connects to Tally Prime on your local machine via ODBC. Your accounting and business data is processed locally and is never uploaded to, stored on, or shared with our servers. We have no access to your ledgers, invoices, or any financial records held in Tally Prime.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To create and manage your account on the Service.
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset).
- To send product updates or marketing emails — only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any such email.
- To analyse usage patterns and improve the Service.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or security incidents.
- To comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We process your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) on the following bases: (a) your consent, (b) performance of a contract, (c) our legitimate interests, and (d) compliance with a legal obligation.
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers — trusted processors who help us operate the Service (cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics). They process data only on our instructions.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government authority.
- Business transfers — in a merger or acquisition your data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before a different privacy policy applies.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Enquiry form submissions are kept for up to 2 years. Account data is retained until you delete your account or request erasure. Analytics data is aggregated and not linked to individuals.
5. Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act and applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data where there is no overriding legal ground to retain it.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our Data Protection Officer (see Section 9).

7. Security

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.
